Crispy Fried Chicken

Crispy fried chicken is a perfect recipe for everyone who would like to prepare a low-cost but super tasty and fast recipe. You can use several different techniques and ingredient mixtures to prepare this recipe, and we can say that everyone has something special about it. Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 4 eggs
  • 30 g parmesan, grated
  • Flour, as needed
  • Breadcrumbs, as needed 
  • Cornflakes, as needed
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Parsley, to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Seed oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Remove the skin from the chicken thighs and drumsticks.
  2. Combine lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, minced parsley and garlic in a bowl.
  3. Add chicken thighs and drumsticks, mix well, cover and refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Crush the cornflakes in a zip bag and combine them with the breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, salt and pepper. 
  5. Heat the oil in a large skillet at medium-high heat.
  6. Drain the chicken from the marinade and firstly coat it with the flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs and finally coat it with the breadcrumbs mixture.
  7. Fry each piece for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Transfer fried chicken onto kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Fry just 3 to 4 pieces at a time.
  • Serve with fried potatoes, fresh salad or grilled vegetables. 
  • You can use the same coating for preparing chicken nuggets.
