Biscuits

This biscuit recipe is one of the easiest recipes you will ever find. It is on the low-cost side, and the only “negative” is that they will disappear in a second or double the dose. However, with just six basic ingredients that most of us have at home, you will prepare some cute little biscuits you can serve for breakfast with a cappuccino or as a snack with a cup of tea. They can be kept in an air-tight container for a couple of days, so they are also a great recipe to use during the festivities.

Let’s see how to make these delicious biscuits in a few simple steps.

  • Total Time: 45 Minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 all-purpose flour
  • 12 g baking powder
  • 50 g sugar
  • 230 g unsalted butter
  • 450 ml half and half
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  2. Add 200 g of butter, cut it into strips, and combine it with your hands until the butter breaks into small pea-size pieces.
  3. Add half and half and mix until combined.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
  5. Roll out the dough into a 2 cm thick rectangle, fold it and roll it again. Repeat two times.
  6. Cut out 20 biscuits with a small round cutter.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 15 minutes.
  9. Melt 30 g of butter and brush the biscuits as soon as you take them out of the oven.
  10. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Roll out the scraps of dough to form more biscuits.
  • Let the biscuits cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
